The Shimadzu Nexera LC-40 Series Preparative LC/SFC System (2022 Model) is a versatile, high-performance separation and purification platform designed for preparative liquid chromatography (LC) and supercritical fluid chromatography (SFC) applications. Combining Shimadzu’s advanced solvent delivery technology with automated sample handling, fraction collection, and photodiode array detection, this system provides an integrated solution for compound purification, isolation, and analytical research.

The system features an SFC-40P solvent delivery module and an LC-40P SF solvent delivery module, offering flexibility for SFC-based separations and solvent delivery configurations. The included LC-20AP preparative liquid chromatograph and LC-20AR liquid chromatograph support preparative and liquid chromatography workflows, while the CTO-40C column oven provides controlled column temperature conditions. The SPD-M40 photodiode array detector enables UV-visible spectral monitoring across multiple wavelengths, helping users identify and monitor separated compounds throughout the purification process.

For automated operation, the system includes an FRS-40 sampler and fraction collector, allowing collected fractions to be organized during purification runs. Additional components, including the DGU-403 degassing unit, HEX-40 solvent exchange module, FCV-20AH2 flow control valve, and CBM-40 communication bus module, support system operation and configuration. The system is operated through Shimadzu LabSolutions software, providing instrument control, data acquisition, chromatographic analysis, and management of analytical workflows.

Warranty and Support

We offer warranty on all refurbished instruments. Warranty starts at 3 months, with the option to extend the period. While your instrument is on warranty, we will provide Email ([email protected]) and phone support and troubleshooting if you require assistance. If there is ever anything wrong with the equipment, we will replace it. Warranty begins from the date your equipment is successfully delivered. Any issues that occur during warranty should be reported immediately, describing the issues in as much detail as possible. Do not attempt to repair the equipment or involve a 3rd party without our express permission – this will result in voiding our warranty.

Installation and Training

If you purchase equipment from Spectralab Scientific, we offer installation and familiarization by our service technicians for an additional fee. If the instrument is particularly complicated, we highly recommend this service.
